This outdoor fitting facility is located at pristine SilverRock Resort, located on 200 sprawling desert acres. Surrounded by massive native bunkers and spectacular water features, the 7,578-yard par-72 course was designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer in 2005 and has been used in the rotation of the Bob Hope Classic since 2008.
With the stunning Santa Rosa Mountains serving as a backdrop, many consider SilverRock Resort the finest in the Coachella Valley. It features a spacious practice facility, great weather, and the best in service and amenities.

If Pat’s name sounds familiar, it should: He won the 1975 Los Angeles Open at famed Riviera Country Club by four strokes over Tom Kite. He did it wearing corduroy pants, too. His best competitive round is a 63 and his ideal foursome would be Bob Duden, Bill Eggers and Ben Hogan.
Friends call the La Quinta, California resident Fitz and he had a bit of a temper in his younger days. “I had a bad habit of breaking clubs and throwing gin cards,” he says. These days, he’s a big New York Yankees and University of Oregon football fan, likes growing roses, loves the movie Gunga Din and listens to Steely Dan and Danny O’Keefe on his IPOD. Fitting good friend Chris Folkestad ranks as his best club fitting experience, and he doesn’t really have a back-up plan. “Yard work,” he says. |
